15:00: "The big no-tonne" for children (approx. 5-10 years), families, school classes
A play that encourages children to listen to their gut feeling - and to say no.
Sometimes children show their feelings of no, but adults ignore them. Because they are stressed. Or because they think they know better because of their responsibility. Yet children's feelings of no are really important signals that need attention. With the theatre programme The Big No-Ton, we take children's likes and dislikes seriously. We encourage them to trust their self-perception and to defend their 'no' feelings. Knowing that they have a right to physical self-determination is an important form of self-protection for children.

18:00: "My body belongs to me" for students, teachers and educational professionals
A powerful play about boundaries, responsibility and preventing sexualised violence.
Children grow up with physical closeness - and it's actually always good for them. But some adults abuse children's trust. And the boundaries between tenderness and abuse become blurred very slowly, especially in the close social environment. "Yes, I like my uncle. No, I don't like the way he's touching me right now!" Many children fall silent when their yes and no feelings contradict each other. With "My body belongs to me!", we have therefore been encouraging children for over 30 years to trust their feelings of no without reservation, to tell others about them and to get help.

The events are organised in cooperation with the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
